Ever see a TV car commercial and wonder what the song was? I have and I know you have too! The song may be catchy, a great cover or for whatever reason you have to know the song and probably run out to buy it. I've searched myself for these songs and had a hard time hunting them down. The Hummer TV commercials all feature original song compositions just for the commercials. So you can't go out and buy the songs but you can buy other songs from those artists. The artists they used are Robot RepAir, Birgir Sigurdsson, Owen O'toole, Face the Music, Fluid and Duotone.

The Lincoln TV car commercials do have popular songs that you can even download from the Lincoln website. The 2010 Lincoln MKT has Under The Milky Way by Sia. The 2010 Lincoln MKS Burnin' For You performed by Shiny Toy Guns. Major Tom performed by Shiny Toy Guns is on the 2010 Lincoln MKZ commercial. The Lincoln full line commercial features Twilight Zone performed by CSS.

Kia's 2010 Super Bowl commercial features "How You Like Me Now" by The Heavy. The Kia Forte commercial uses Cha Cha! by Super Sonic Jets. That commercial song was pretty hard to find. Kia Spectra uses Can't Get It Right Today by Joe Purdy. The Kia Soul has a few commercials with different songs. The songs are "Do What You Do" by Marz featuring Pack and Mummiez, "Junkyard" by The Potbelleez, "Fort Knox" by GoldFish and "Colours" by Calvin Harris. You can actually download all four of these songs by going to the Kia Soul website. Kia Optima uses "Koop Islands Blues" by Koop.

Cadillac has a few commercials out with popular songs in them. The annual year end event commercial uses "Better Day" by Black Iris Music. The 2010 Cadillac SRX commercial uses "1901" by Phoenix. The Cadillac Escalade used "Age of Consent" by New Order.

Hyundai TV commercials with songs have also driven many crazy trying to identify the song used. The Hyundai Genesis song is "Redefining Automation" by In:Aviate and another commercial has "FOL (Feel Our Love)" by Smashing Pumpkins. The Hyundai i30 features Koop's song "Come to Me".

Using popular music, or songs that can be purchased by consumers, in TV car commercials is a terrific idea because the video of the commercial goes viral with everyone trying to figure out the catchy song. Plus it helps the musicians who get more exposure and more sales for their music.

For a simple classroom decorating idea, start with a white rectangle of construction paper and tape 2 ends together to make a tube with a fAirly large diaMeter. Complete the ghost by drawing a scary or funny face on one side of the tube. Hang five or more streamer ghosts around the classroom.

The Haunted Corner

If you have enough classroom space, create a haunted corner for younger students to play in during the Halloween Party. The haunted corner can be as simple as a lightweight black curtain or piece of fabric hung from ceiling to floor with some spooky items behind it. Why Should I Use A Djembe?

The djembe is perfect for people who are looking for a single drum that is able to cover a variety of different sounds. There are many different styles of djembe around, each with their own unique appeal as no djembe is the same. This means that you will be able to search for a drum that is right for you in both image and sound.

ChoosingDrum Heads

There are two different types of djembe drum head available; synthetic and natural. Synthetic heads aren't as good as natural heads because they need to be tuned very tight to give a good sound. This can cause a problem as it will cause the drum to "ring" when it is hit. Natural skins are better quality, last longer and sound much better. Synthetic heads are fine if you're a beginner, however if you have some experience then natural is certainly the way to go.

Playing The Djembe

There are many hand techniques that you can use if you want to play the djembe. The most common method is to use your palm to slap the skins. By doing this in the center of the drum you will create a deep tone. For a more high-pitched tone you should move to the outer edgesof the skin.

One mistake many people make when they are playing the djembe is that they will gradually speed up when they hit the drums loud. This can cause a problem if you're playing in a drum circle as you are all supposed to be in sync with each other. If you find yourself having this issue then you need to listen to others. If you can hear yourself over all of the other drummers then you need to lower your volume.

Where To Learn

The problem with learning the djembe is that there aren't a lot of tutors around. If you really want to learn then you'll have to teach yourself. There are plenty of resources available on the internet that will take you through the necessary steps, such as; Video tutorials, play along tracks and ebooks.

Look To The 90 's For A Great Party Theme

Look To The 90 's For A Great Party Theme

It was Prince who said "Tonight we're gonna Party like it's 1999!" He was right. Although the 90s seem like they were really just about yesterday (in the big universal time-line of things), 90s theme parties are still a hot and funky theme to consider when throwing parties. For one thing, all theme parties need to have plenty of good music and the 90s marked the beginning of new and different types of popular music. It is important to have lots of big name groups like Nirvana, Salt & Peppa, Snoop Dogg, Hootie and the BlowFish, Pearl Jam, and oh-so-many boy bands (i.e. 98 Degrees, Backstreet Boys, Boyz 2 Men, etc.), Smashing Pumpkins, Shania Twain, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Tom Petty on hand to mix it up a little.

Use your 90s theme Party as a way toencourage people to Dress the way they remember the fashions of the 90s. You will be amazed at what some people remember the fashions being. Have a fashion show and a Miss 90s for the night award based upon audience participation.

If you have any access to musical instruMents, you may want to set up a garage band audition-grunge style! Divide your 90s theme party guests into bands and give them time to come up with a name and write some lyrics to a song. Then, give them the option of trying to create the background music with real instruMents or fit their words to a famous song, nursery rhyme campfire song or Christmas Carol. The results are guaranteed to be hilarious. Try to have the video recorder going for this.

Very Simple Indian Broccoli Curry

Very Simple Indian Broccoli Curry

This is my favourite vegetarian curry. It is absolutely amazing and works brilliantly as a side dish or as a main course. If you like broccoli, you are going to love this fantastic curry.

Very Simple Indian Broccoli Curry

It was taught to me by a radical militant warrior vegetarian. I thought she was going to kill me for enjoying meat but she ended up only wanting to show me how good vegetarian Food could be. She succeeded.

So here it is.

Ingredients

3 Tablespoons ghee or vegetable oil
70 grams grated coconut
3 Tablespoons roasted sesame seeds
1 finger sized piece of ginger peeled and grated
3 cloves garlic, smashed and finely chopped
70 grams roasted peanuts
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 finely chopped onion
3 tomatoesroughly chopped
2 green chilli pepper finely chopped
500grams (1 pound) broccoli
Salt and pepper

Heat some water and steam the broccoli florets until just cooked. You should just be able to stick a fork into the side of the florets but there should be some resistance. Set aside.

Now heat a large frying pan over medium heat and add half the ghee or oil. Throw in the ginger, coconut, sesame seeds, peanuts, chilli powder and turmeric and cook for about three minutes stirring the ingredients about the pan with a spatula.

Set aside to cool.

In the same pan, add the rest of the ghee or oil and throw in the onions, tomatoes and chopped chilli peppers. Cook until the onion is transparent and just beginning to turn a light brown. Add the garlic and cook for afurther minute.

Throw in the broccoli florets and the spice mixture to heat through. The broccoli should be tender but you want to ensure there is a little resistance.
Add salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.

This curry can be made in minutes. Teamed with a little saffron rice or naan bread chewy home made it is the perfect mid week family meal or side or main dish for an exotic dinner Party.

I would really like to know how you get on with this recipe. I have cooked it hundreds of times for hundreds of people. The important thing is that you try it as it really is amazing. Be sure to stop back and leave a comMent. Do you have any suggestions how this curry could be improved?

Here Comes the Bride's Cleavage

Here Comes the Bride's Cleavage

Ever since Queen Victoria walked down the aisle in a white Dress that every woman in the English-speaking world wanted to imitate, bridal Dresses have been gaining importance in the wedding ceremony.

Here Comes the Bride's Cleavage

Here Comes the Bride's Cleavage

Here Comes the Bride's Cleavage

Here Comes the Bride's Cleavage

Here Comes the Bride's Cleavage

They got bigger, they got whiter, and they got poofier, and until recently, they all gave out the same message: "THE WOMAN IN THIS Dress IS DEFINITELY A VIRGIN!"

And there was a lot wrong with that message. For one thing, even in the old days, it wasn't necessarily true. ("Love knots" was slang for stitches put in to give the impression that a woman had an intact hyMen on her wedding night.) For another, the bride's virginity shouldn't be anybody's business but that of the happy couple. And nobody seemed to be paying the same meticulous attention to the groom's purity.

Beginning in the 1960's, some woMen began to rebel against the tyranny of the Big White Dress of Perfect Maidenhood. Many still went with "VIRGIN!" dresses, but increasing numbers went with dresses that just said "sweet" or "pretty" or, occasionally, "barefoot earth mother who makes her own granola."

Now that wedding dresses are no longer beacons of sexual inexperience, more and more brides see them as costumes for the most photographed day of their lives. And increasingly media-savvy brides want to manage those photo ops. When they think about how they want people want to see and remember them on their big day, many brides don't think "sweet" and "pretty" cut it. And so they go with "VAVOOM!"

Long story short, brides have turned the formerly sexless wedding dress upside-down. Or rather, the formerly sexless wedding dress has thrown itself, bodice heaving, down upon silky black sheets and... you get the idea.

While the brides of yesteryear wanted reassure their descendants that they had good moral characters and could provide an unbroken family lines, many of today's brides seem to want future tykes to know that Grandma was quite the hot number in her day.

Modern bridal dresses come in slinky, body hugging sheaths, with plunging backs, and even with occasional thigh-high slit skirts. Even Cinderella ball gowns come with necklines that show enough cleavage to make the guests wonder if the bride will be riding away in one of the pumpkins she's smuggling.

It makes sense, in a way. Most people are comfortable with the idea that the bride and groom may have established a physical relationship well before their marriage, and with the fact that the bride is an adult and a sexual being. And many brides have been so thoroughly harassed by women's magazines telling that they have to look perfect that they spend a full year obsessively working out before their weddings. Why not show it off?

And yet.

Remember how broadcasting one's virginity was more information than anyone really needed? The flipside can be true too.

So where's the line? There's no point in going back to the hide-your-ankles days, and every bride deserves to know that she's made at least one ex-boyfriend smack his palm into his forehead for letting her go. On the other hand, Grandpa Hubert should not be made to notice how bangable you are.

Definitely choose a dress that makes you feel gorgeous. Pick the one that makes you feel lovely and comfortable, and, yes, flirty and womanly can go in there too. A touch of sensuality? Definitely. As for the dress that makes you feel achingly, drop-dead sexy, pick that one too. Just pick it in a different color and use it to go clubbing on your honeymoon.

Here Comes the Bride's Cleavage
